BUGIS, Anthony John, Jr. "Tony" - Age 84, of Hartland Township, died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at his residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, August 25, 2011 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 500 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Tuesday from 6-9 PM, Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and at church Thursday from 10 AM until time of Mass. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home 7:00 PM Wednesday Those desiring may make contributions to St. John G.I.F.T. Campaign or the Alzheimer's Association. Tony was born March 10, 1927 in Deerfield Township, the son of Anthony Benedict and Petronella (Bouzis) Bugis. He married Helen L. Jozwik June 10, 1950 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton. He retired from GM Truck and Bus Pontiac and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church Port Orange, FL. Tony had resided in Hartland Township for the past 61 years. Surviving are: 5 children, John Bugis and Mary of Nashville, TN, Mary Jo and husband Joel Kowall of Holly, Roseanne and husband Harold Bennett of Howell, Edward and wife Penny Bugis of Highland and Anthony B. and wife Rose Marie Bugis of Hartland; son-in-law, Gerald Ross of Flemingburg, KY; 9 grandchildren, Dr. Madeline Tabor, John Paul Ross, Stephanie Jo Hilliard, A.J. Bugis, Tyson Bugis, Spencer Bennett, Sterling Bennett, Colton Bugis and Eva Bugis; 2 great grandchildren, Joseph Tabor and Emily Jo Hilliard; sister, Josephine and husband William Wilson of Chandler, AZ; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Diane Ross; 2 sisters, Helen Bugis and Vera Bartlett; 4 brothers, Albert, Albin, Jerry and Stanley Adamaitis.
