BARCLAE, Anthony L. - age 95 - Detroit area businessman, of Grand Blanc, passed away at home on October 8, 2016 surrounded by his family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. A Private burial will be held Guardian Angel Cemetery, Rochester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Prayer Center, 2381 Carpenter Rd., Flint, MI 48505. Anthony was born in Rome, Italy on February 26, 1921 to Francesco and Angelina (Capelli) Basacchi and came to America at the age of 4. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp, serving in WWII. He was a Henry Ford Trade School alumnus, longtime DAC member, Warwick Hills member, private pilot and avid golfer, but family was most important to him. He married Dena Hickman on September 22, 2001. Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Dena; son, Peter (Tami) Barclae; daughters, Merry (Jim) Maiani, Kimberley (Larry) Murray and Cynthia Barclae; step sons, Jason Crosno, Chance (Aditi) Crosno and William (Elena) Crosno; grandchildren, Autumn (Jason) Vanacker, Jason Barclae, Brittany Barclae, Anthony Maiani, King Crosno, William Antonio Crosno and Aarya Crosno; sister, Yolanda Pawlak; mother-in-law, Joyce Hickman; brother-in-law, Ricky Hickman; sisters-in-law, Cathy Hickman and Amy (Doug) Vaughn; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his precious dog, Gia. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Louis Basacchi and William Basacchi; sister, Helen Orselli; and father-in-law, Billie Hickman.
