Annie Talley

TALLEY, Annie Jewell - age 72, of Flint, died May 2, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, May 6, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48507. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Annie was born December 23, 1949 in Jefferson, Texas, the daughter of Joseph and Willie Mae (Oliver) Williams. She married Benny E. Talley on February 26, 1966 in Marshall, TX. Annie retired from McLaren Hospital in 2008 after 35 years of service as a clerk. Annie Talley was a great daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved taking daily walks, going to church every Sunday, serving and extending her help as a volunteer to help the homeless and needy. She always offered an ear to listen and offered advice to all family members and or anyone in need. She was the perfect Christian woman. Annie was instrumental in the placement of flower pots throughout the Glendale Hills Community and cleaned up trash in the neighborhood on her daily walks. She was a member of Grace Community International where she sang in the choir. Surviving are: husband, Benny E. Talley, Sr. of Flint; four children, Benny E. Talley, Jr. of Flint, Kelly A. Talley of Atlanta, GA, LaDonyia D. Talley of Los Angeles, CA, and Kevin M. Talley of Flint; grandchildren, Marquetta Talley, Britney (Cordarous) Young, Alante Talley, LaChele Burks, Trintine Talley, Kayla Talley, Kayton Talley, Alysia Talley; 12 great-grandchildren, siblings, Dorothy Lee Jefferson (Jones) of Lindale, TX, Sadie Williams Copeland (husband, Alvis) of Marshall, TX, Faye Lee Oliver (Echavarria) of Irving, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
