BURTON, Annie Mae - Age 95, of Flint, died Saturday, September 3, 2016. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, September 9, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. Pastor Aaron Whitman officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Thursday and 1-2 PM Friday at the funeral home. Annie Mae was born August 5, 1921 in Portageville, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas and Luzillar (Portwood) Toombs. She married Roy Burton on April 10, 1937 in Missouri and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2001. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Swartz Creek. Surviving are: two children, Jerry (Jill) Burton, Robert Burton; 17 grandchildren, Frances Schater, Christine Hogan, Philip Burton, Pamela Willis, Katherine Arthur, Tina Loren, Kelly Morse, David Morse, Tracy Nussle, Michael Morse, Noel Burton, Jason Burton, Nicole Burton, Jack Burton, Melissa Burton, Ann Ferguson, Travis Burton; 36 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren and "one on the way;" three siblings, Addie Little, Beatty Powell and Peggy Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents; five children, Lee, Joyce, Bill, Barbara and Thomas; five siblings, Phillip Toombs, Jean Abernathy, Florence Davison, Wilma Smith, Tommy Toombs.
