MATTHEWS, Anne Marie -- Age 80, of Fenton, died March 1, 2009 at Caretel Inns of Linden. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12PM Saturday, March 7 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be 2-9 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, with a 7:30 PM Vigil service. Visitation will be from 11 AM until mass at the church on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the St. Francis Prayer Center in Flint. Anne was born July 13, 1928 in Flint the daughter of Marcellus and Emma (Ulrich) Camp. She was a 1946 graduate of Fenton High School and had attended Sienna Heights in Adrian. She married John L. Matthews on May 17, 1951 in Fenton and he preceded her in death September 17, 1997. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton and the Bayview Club. Surviving are: eight children, Mary E. (John) Metz of Cincinnati, OH, Thomas W. of San Jose, CA, Daniel J. of Fenton, Louise A. (Craig) Dotema of Grand Rapids, Marc F. of Albuquerque, NM, Jane E. (Bassam) Zahra of San Jose, CA, Paul J. (Lisa) of Fenton, Michael L. (Kathleen) of Columbus, OH; sister, Celine Hoban of Stockton, CA; thirteen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
