Croner, Anne - Age 96, of Grand Blanc, died August 13, 2019. She was born in Wyandotte, Michigan May 10, 1923 to Alexander and Juliana Bartfay. Anne graduated from Montrose High School in 1941 and for ten years worked at Buick Motor Division in Plant Layout as a secretary. During this time, she modeled for the Industrial Business Girls, Kiwanis, and several Masonic organizations. She married Kenneth Croner in June 1946 and raised their family. Later she worked for several years at Mott Community College as a receptionist for the Guidance and Counseling Office. Anne was also involved with the marketing and sales of gems, minerals, and jewelry for the Christopher Collection, Inc., retiring at age 83. She was a member of the St. Cecilia Society and Flint Symphony Women’s Auxiliary. Anne and her husband were also members of the Flint Rock & Gem Club and Club Clarendon, a dinner dance club. She leaves her children Kathryn (Michael) Duckworth and Craig (Patricia) Croner; grandchildren Aaron Croner, William Croner, Jacqui (Dr. Hayes) Merritt, and Jonathan Duckworth; and great-grandchildren Auden Merritt and Mackenzie Croner. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Kenneth; and by her youngest son, Christopher W. Croner, for whom an Earth Science Scholarship was established at the University of Michigan Flint Campus. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service has been held.
