Anna "Jeanne" THAYER

THAYER, Anna "Jeanne" - Age 86, of Durand, died Friday, September 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Tuesday and 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday. Jeanne was born February 21, 1927 in Myrtle, Missouri, the daughter of William and Amanda (Gates) England. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Swartz Creek since January 1961. She owned and operated Jeanne's Food & Spirits in Vernon for several years. Jeanne was an accomplished pool player and started many of the leagues in Shiawassee County. Surviving are: husband, Robert; four sons, Danny (Jeanette) Wineland, Joe (Carla) Wineland, Mike Wineland, Bill (Brenda) Wineland; six step-children; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many special friends, including Scott and Mary Kay Bright.
