Anna C. Hicks

HICKS, Anna Constance (Petroskey) - Age 91, of Flint, died September 18, 2004. Private services were held. Anna was born September 22, 1912 in Cedar, MI, the daughter of Lewis and Mary (Surdyk) Petroskey. She had resided in Flint most of her life. She was married to Dallas Sterling Hicks in 1930 in Flint; he preceded her in death in 1941. She retired from GM in 1962 with 21 years of service and was a member of the U.A.W. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where she was very active in the Altar Society. Surviving are: son, Ronald A. and wife Shirley of Swartz Creek; daughter Rosemary 'Joy' and husband Richard Bower of Idaho; sister, Judy Farthing of Traverse City; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Randolph; 6 sisters; and 3 brothers. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at McLaren Hospital.
