FAIN, Anna Virginia - age 94, of Flint, passed away on October 22, 2008 at her residence (Maple Place Assisted Living). The family is very grateful to the dedicated staff at Maple Place and Genesys Home Health and Hospice. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bratcher Fain; parents, Michael and Teckla Mikuta; sisters, Bernice Waskevich, Mary Skubida, Julia McElhose, Leona Yambrick; brother, Arthur Mikuta. Anna is survived by: her children, Barbara (Jack) Udell, Warren (Barbara) Fain, Jim (Mary) Fain, and Caroline (Joseph) DuCharme; 12 grandchildren, Timothy (Anne Marie) Udell, Stephanie (Yusuf) Mehdi, Geoffrey (Kristin) Udell, Debbie (Ryan) Ananich, Katherine (Steve) Coughlin, Thomas Fain, Fr. John Fain, Chris Fain, Jacob Fain, Mary (Jeremy) Phillips, Erin (Rob) Parker and Anne (Brian) Shortt; 10 great-grandchildren, Kathrynn and Kristina Udell, Nicholas, Thomas and Flora Mehdi, Olivia, Caroline and Stephanie Udell, Elizabeth and Shane Phillips; many nieces and nephews. Anna was a long time member of St. Michael Catholic Church and an active member of the Church's Altar Society. She was devoted to her family and her church. She was a member of the Daughter's of Isabella and the Polish Women's Alliance. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, October 27, 2008 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 609 E. Fifth St., Flint with Fr. John Fain celebrant. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-6 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. A rosary will be prayed 4 PM Sunday evening. Visitation will also be held 10 AM until the time of service at the church.
