Anita Lesinski

LESINSKI, Anita Mae - age 90, of Holiday FL, died November 12, 2019. Funeral services will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Swartz Creek Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek MI 48473 at 11am Saturday August 7, 2021, with visitation from 10am-11am. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Genesee County Humane Society.
Anita was born March 25, 1929 in Flint MI, to Fred and Margaret Moorhouse. She graduated from St Mary’s High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Air Force Staff Sergeant Louis E Lesinski June 3, 1948. They lived in several different states and the country of Japan before Louis retired from the Air Force in May 1962, and returned to their home in Flint MI. Anita worked various jobs before finding her niche at Flint’s McLaren Hospital. She worked as the sole employee running the mail room for the hospital from approximately 1971 until she retired in 1981. But she didn’t stop there! Full of boundless energy and enthusiasm for life, she volunteered at the McLaren Hospital gift shop for 30 plus years. She also proudly served as her husband’s representative as a regional Vice President in the Guadalcanal Campaign Veterans Association. She then moved to Florida in October 2013. Anita was an avid golfer. She loved traveling, reading, sewing, crocheting, her dog Candy, and especially; spending time with beloved family and friends. Surviving are 1 son and 4 daughters. Jeannine/Mike Smokevitch, Louis/Ana Lesinski, Karen/Herb Coyner, Margaret Page, and Patricia/Herb Lake. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis, sisters Grace and Wanda, brother Jack, as well as 3 grandsons, Brad and Tim Coyner, and Michael Pollard. She will be forever loved and missed!
