SAMASSA, Angeline Lorraine "Gina" - Age 78, of Holly-Fenton, died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Brian's House. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial immediately following at St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton from 1-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday and Monday. A vigil service will be held 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributons to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Mrs. Samassa was born April 11, 1931 in Detroit, the daughter of Fransisco and Giovinni (DiNicolo) Paretti. She married Oreste P. Samassa March 23, 1956 in Grand Blanc. She was a graduate of St. Matthew Catholic High School, Flint. She had resided in the Fenton/Holly area for the past 20 years coming from Grand Blanc. Mrs. Samassa and her husband owned and operated Samassa Tile and Marble. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where she was involved in the Womens Guild and Funeral Dinners. She loved to bowl, cook, knit and was a seamstess. Surviving are: husband, Oreste; 3 children, Delana and husband Thomas Moore of Fenton, Richard and wife Sheri Samassa of Holly, Susan and husband Stephen Allan of Clio; 5 grandchildren, James and wife Mary Miller-Moore, Megan and Nicholas Samassa, Evan Allan, Deborah and husband Jody McCord; 4 great grandchildren, Aurora, Laydon, Keeley and Myles; sister, Joanne and husband Johnny Pittao of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; sister-in-law, Betty Luchenbill of Mt.
