COSENTINO, Angeline "Nancy" - age 95 of Fenton, formerly of Allen Park, died May 24, 2024, with her family by her side. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, MI 48430 with Rev. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Fenton. A rosary will be prayed at 10 AM Tuesday at the church followed by visitation from 10:30-11 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Smile Train (www.smiletrain.org). Nancy was born January 1, 1929, in Detroit, the daughter of Daniel and Nora O'Shea. She was a graduate of Visitation High School in Detroit and was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years. Nancy married Salvatore "Sam" Cosentino on June 1, 1957, and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2021. Nancy was always willing to help anyone in need and was a "Champion for the underdog". She was well known for family meals, baking Irish bread, making coleslaw and church windows. She was proud of her Irish heritage and embraced her husband's Italian heritage. Nancy was a long-time active member of the Italian American Club in Wyandotte, where she was a chairperson for over 25 years of the St. Joseph Feast Day Celebration with the money raised from this event was donated to children's hospitals and causes. She loved her children and grandchildren most of all and loved to teach them. Surviving are: four children, Ann Marie (David) Scharf of Fenton, Antoinette (Michael) Peterson of Hartland, Michael (Amy) Cosentino of Rochester, and Noreen (Thomas) Battaglia of Fenton; 11 grandchildren, Daniel (Jess), Jacob, Bryan, Stephanie (fiancé, Taylor), Laura (Alex), Christina, Megan, Emily, Olivia, and Luke; great-granddaughter, Yuna; brother-in-law, Vincent Cosentino; sister-in-law, Rosalie Sciturro; niece, Jolie (David) Whiteman.
