Andrea Lynne Meizlish

Andrea Lynne Meizlish died suddenly after a brief illness.  Andrea was born April 23, 1971 in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1989 and went on to earn a degree in graphic design and criminal justice from Western Michigan University.  Upon graduation, she worked in the commercial and film production industry in Detroit, first at Stratton Camera and then as a highly sought after freelance production coordinator in the Detroit commercial production community, often working with her friends and colleagues at Avalon Films. Over the years, if you saw a Pure Michigan ad on television or a pre-flight Delta Airlines safety video, or the 2011 Super Bowl Snickers television ad featuring Aretha Franklin and Liza Minelli, then you saw the results of the enormous time, energy, and talent that Andrea devoted to her work.  

Andrea is survived by her father Leonard Meizlish, her sister Debbie Meizlish and brother-in-law Josh Botkin, her beloved nephews Jonah and Benjamin, her aunt Aida Meizlish and cousin Louis Meizlish (Erin Miller).  She is also mourned by her extended family, friends, and colleagues. She was predeceased by her mother Naomi and step-mother Karen, along with her grandparents Max and Lillian Meizlish and William and Grace Lande, who all loved her greatly.  

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Michigan with Rabbi Sara Adler officiating. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery, Flint, MI. (the funeral will be live streamed at (http://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/91447)

Minyan services from 6:00-6:30 p.m. and shivah until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at Temple Beth El - Congregation Beth Israel, 5150 Calkins Road, Flint.  A zoom link will be provided directly to friends and family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Andrea's memory to Congregation Beth Israel Flint, Flint Temple Beth El, the Flint Jewish Federation, Chabad of Eastern Michigan, or a charity of your choice.
