Andrea Eccles

Andrea Vascil Eccles of Detroit, MI passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 2:05 a.m.  Andrea was born in Pahokee, FL on November 8, 1944, she was known by those who loved her dearly as “Bobby”.  She graduated from Cass Tech High School and earned her LPN from MDTA Nursing School. Andrea married Walter Eccles in 1965 and of this union bore three sons. She worked at Providence Hospital for many years and later St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Center until she retired in 2016.

Preceding her in death were both parents Myrtice B. Pilgrim and Rudolph V. Pilgrim as well as her sister Jacquelyn B. Daniel and her son Christopher A. Eccles. Andrea leaves a number of loved ones to live life to the fullest and carry the many memories of her in their hearts. Surviving Andrea are her sons Rudolph A. Eccles and Brandon L. Eccles, three siblings Willie L. Pilgrim, Gloria C. Jones, and Gary R. M. Pilgrim, six grandchildren Stephanie Eccles, Hope Looney, Haven Looney, Andrea Adamski, Devon Adamski, and Maddison Eccles, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Andrea was an avid reader, and lover of traveling, music (Jazz), and people.  Those who came to know Andrea well would describe her as sharp and witty, kind, patient, full of knowledge, and loving.
