HARTWIG, Amy June - Age 38, of Flint, died after a short and courageous battle with cancer, Saturday, October 13, 2018. Visitation with the family will be held at Sharp Funeral Home on Fenton Road Tuesday, October 16, from 4-8 PM. Celebration of Amy's life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, at Hadley Community Church, 3638 Hadley Road, Hadley, MI. Chaplain Eric Carlson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to U of M Flint Scholarship Fund in Amy's name. Amy was born June 28, 1980 in Gaylord, the daughter of Jon and Karen. She was a 1998 graduate of Linden High School and received a Bachelor's in English Literature from the University of Michigan Flint. She was employed by the University of Michigan Flint as the Communication Specialist for the College of Arts and Sciences. She fully enjoyed being a member of SBG. Surviving are: mother, Karen and husband Stephen Nichols of Waterloo, IL; father, Robert Jon Hartwig of Grayling; brother, Ryan and wife Katie Hartwig of Summerville, SC; special nieces, Elena, Leila, and Raya Hartwig; grandmother, Edna T.
