NORTH, Alyce Mae - age 91, of Fenton, died Saturday, August 31, 2013 at her residence. Services will be held 5 PM Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 4 PM until the time of service. contributions may be may to the Disabled American Veterans. Mrs. North was born January 5, 1922 in Worthington, MN, the daughter of Arthur Neil and Jessie Lenore (Harthen) Norman. She married Ivan E. North on January 16, 1947 and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1986. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Grand Blanc, American Antique Club and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Chapter 3. Surviving are: four children, Richard North of Grand Blanc, Shannon (Anna) North of Lutz, FL, Sharon (Jim) Lueker of Swartz Creek, Robert (Sandy) North of Grand Blanc; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren also survive. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, James; granddaughter, Debbie; great-grandson, Christopher; sister, Nola; two brothers, Neil and Lowell; and daughter-in-law, Betty. The family extends a special thank you to granddaughter, Renee Brooks and great-granddaughter, Alicia Brooks who were her loving and devoted caretakers.
