Alvin HOWARD

HOWARD, Alvin, age 94, of Flint, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at The Pines of Swartz Creek. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Chaplain Goodman Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be Thursday 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice Visiting Nurses. Alvin was born September 10, 1915 in Flat Lick, Kentucky the son of James and Ellen (Baker) Howard. Surviving are five sons, Doyle (Teresa) Howard of Mundy Twp., Wayne (D'Alice) Howard of Lennon, Rocky Howard of Flint, Lanny Howard of Mt. Morris, Chapy (Cathy) Howard of Flushing. He also leaves six grandchildren, Brett, Ashley, Cody, Jessica, Lauren, Jenna and one great-grandchild, Lexis; a sister, Bernice Jones of California. He was preceded in death by brother, Thomas and an infant sister, Leora. The family extends special thanks to McLaren Hospice and the staff of the Pines of Swartz Creek.
