Heitchler, Alvin L., age 85, of Flint, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Funeral services will be 1 PM Sunday, April 3, 2011 from Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Saturday. Alvin was born in Harrisville, MI, the son of Verne and Mae (Pletscher) Heitchler. He married Lois Hill in 1949 and she preceded him in death in 2003. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army WW II, and retired from AC Spark Plug in 1985 after 42 years of service. Survivors include his son, Gary (Joann) Heitchler of Waterford, 2 grandchildren, several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents also.
