Alvin Harvey, Jr.

HARVEY Jr., Alvin Edward "Butch", age 72, of Flint, died August 15, 2020. Private services will be held at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc Twp. Alvin was born June 2, 1948 in Gladwin, the son of Alvin and Mary (Moore) Harvey, Sr. Alvin married Sharon Schanick on September 17, 1966 in Flint. He retired from Dupont. He was a hands on kind of man and loved fixing things. He took great pride in having the most beautiful lawn in the neighborhood. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon; four children, Cheryl (Dave) Fraser, Michelle (Guy) Martinez, Rodney Harvey, and Debbie (James) Barton; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-grand puppy; sister, Rosemary (Carl) Maliott; brothers, David (Kay) Harvey, Bruce (Paula) Harvey, and Brian Harvey; several nieces and nephews. Alvin is also survived by his two boys, Bentley James and Buster Brown. A special thank you is extended to Uncle Angie for your dedication to Butch during his illness.
