Alversa Marie PANCHECK

PANCHECK, Alversa Marie -- Age 86, of Swartz Creek, died January 2, 2011 at Heartland Nursing Care, Ann Arbor. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Fr. Douglas Osborn celebrant. Interment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until time of mass at church on Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Alversa was born June 22, 1924 in Flint the daughter of Guy William and Anna Marie (Anderson) George. She had resided in Swartz Creek the past 13 years coming from Flint. She was a graduate of the Hurley School of Nursing. She married John Paul Pancheck on September 17, 1949 in Flint; he preceded her in death May 8, 2005. She had worked in nursing at St. Joseph and Hurley Hospitals, and for Dr. Morrissey retiring in 1971. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, and a former longtime member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Surviving are: brother, Leslie and wife Doris George of Ann Arbor; sister, Mary Ann and husband William Hogan of Azalia, MI; and many nieces and nephews.
