Alvaro O. Trujillo

TRUJILLO, Alvaro O., age 83, of Mt. Morris, formerly of Flint, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Genesys Health Park surrounded by his loved ones. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, September 26, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, G-2316 W. Coldwater Rd., Flint with Fr. Tim Nelson celebrant. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Wednesday and 11 AM - 9 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint where a rosary will be prayed 7 PM Thursday. Mr. Trujillo will be at church from 10 AM Friday until the time of mass. Alvaro was born in San Antonio, TX on February 19, 1925, the son of the late Magdaleno and Maria De Luz. He married Aurora Aguilar on August 20, 1944. He retired from General Motors. Surviving are: son, Ernest (Sherry) of Mt. Morris; 7 daughters, Elvia (Dan) Rivera of Burton, Yolanda (John) Lipp, and Irma Lane of Romulus, Nora (Mark) Bass, and Norma (Melvin) Hutchinson of Clio, Maria (Jim) Mac Farlane of Flint, Susana (James) Coryell of Davison; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; brother, Carlos (Lucia) Trujillo; sister, Inez (Roberto) Lopez; brother-in-law, Felix Rodriguez of Flint; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years Aurora Aguilar; sons, Alvaro II and Alvaro III (Pico), son-in-law, Patrick Lane; brothers, Martin, Oscar, and Ramiro Trujillo; sisters, Rosa Herrera and Bertha Rodriguez.
