Alton Kilbourn

Alton "Joe" D. Kilbourn, age 79, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023. The family will host a time of gathering on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, starting at 4PM until 8PM at Sharp Funeral Home, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Alton "Joe" Kilbourn was born on May 5, 1943, in Flint, Michigan to the late Edmond & Maxine Kilbourn. Joe was a Christian man of faith and attended several local churches. In his earlier years, Joe enjoyed boxing, working out and riding his Harley. He worked at GM Truck & Bus and later as a skilled carpenter. He stayed active throughout his retirement; some of his favorite activities were golf, working out and reading. Joe also liked to watch sports and Westerns. He loved spending time with family and friends, and serving the Lord. He will be greatly missed by all of those that knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Arelia; his daughters, Tammy (Charles) Graham, Paula Kilbourn, Shannon (Tim) Davidson; his stepdaughter Kara (Mike) Mrozinski; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Barbara (Larry) Johnson, JoAnn Davis and Delores (Richard) Lyon; many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Randy McEntire.
