Alton E. GRISWOLD

GRISWOLD, Alton, E., formerly of Mt. Morris, died February 5, 2010 at the age of 91. "Gris" as he was known by family and friends, was born on March 26, 1918, in Mt. Morris. Alton was employed by the Graff Automotive Dealerships since 1941. He was Veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific and was honorably discharged as a Captain in the U.S. Army. Alton leaves his wife, Donna Nolte of Columbia, TN; sons, Rick (Kandy) of Fenton, Larry (Renie) of Davison, Jerry (Sue) of Adrian; daughter, Mary (Steve) Minnock of Ortonville; grandchildren, Brett (Andrea) of Davison, Lindsey (Chad) of Brighton, Tara (Rob) of Cape Coral, FL, Patrick and Kevin of Fenton, Katie and Travis of Adrian, Steve and Chad of Ortonville; great-grandchildren, Mckenna, Calie, Madelyn, Masyn, Ally, Joshua; sisters, Dorothy Martin of IN, Margaret Newman of Vancouver, WA; and the special family of Donna Nolte. Alton was preceded in death by his wife, Florence (1995). Cremation has taken place and a Life Celebration is being planned. The family wishes to thanks the wonderful staff at Genesys Hospice Care Center of Goodrich. Those desiring may make donations to Genesys Hospice in Alton's memory.
