Alton George Ainsworth

Ainsworth, Alton George - Age 94, of Swartz Creek, passed away February 24, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 27; and 10:00 AM until the service time Wednesday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children. 

Alton was born July 27, 1929 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Donelson M. and Gertrude I. (Pearsall) Ainsworth. Alton was a graduate of Flint Central High School and he was a veteran of the United States Army. Alton married Bertha Hahn on December 2, 1950. He owned and operated Ainsworth Lawn Equipment for 76 years and he loved his work. He was a private pilot. 

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Bertha "Bert"; one son, Keith (Lisa) Ainsworth; granddaughter, Ashley (Christopher) Anthony; and two great-grandchildren, Leon Anthony and Paxton Anthony. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Wayne.
