Alta Warner

WARNER, Alta Elizabeth - age 69, of Flint Michigan passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 in her home in Anderson, South Carolina. Born October 8, 1951, at Hurley Hospital in Flint Michigan, she was the daughter of Alberta Wolverton and Clarence Milton LaPointe. Alta Elizabeth Warner grew up in Hartland Michigan with her sister Ella LaPointe. She was widowed after her husband Matthew Dennis Warner who passed away on October 13, 2015. They were married 44 years and were married on September 28, 1971. She enjoyed staying in contact with family members. She was an animal lover who adored her pets. She was a giving person who helped anyone with anything. She worked at a nursing home and also cleaned houses. She volunteered at a soup kitchen growing up and she did Bikathon’s with her children and husband to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She had an amazing sense of humor and would always like to tease you to know you were loved. She moved to South Carolina after her husband passed away, and she would spend time with family and her grandkids. She loved going out to eat and having family dinners or celebrating holidays. She was a family woman and she was surrounded by her family a week before she passed away in the comfort of her home. Surviving are: three children, Kathy and husband, Bill Green of Fenton, Russell Warner and wife, Lilia of S.C., Richard (Denni) Warner of S.C.; seven grandchildren, Robert and wife, Tiffany, Daniela(Matthew), Shauna, Stephanie, Zack, Kyle and Dominic; six great-grandchildren, Henry, Liliana, Quincy, Mykenzie, Logan, and Ellie. Services will be held 12:30 PM Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Burial will following in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.  Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday October 25.
