Alma Fifield

FIFIELD, Alma Joyce - Age 86, of Burton, died Friday, July 1, 2016. Funeral services will be held 12:00PM Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Steve Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday 2:00PM - 8:00PM and 10:00AM Wednesday until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the V. A. Hospital of Michigan. Alma was born April 22, 1930 in Flint the daughter of the late Harry Arthur and Neva Elizabeth (Allen) Roat. She married Robert Jean Fifield in Angola, IN on May 4, 1952 he preceded her in death on May 14, 2002. Alma was very involved with the V.F.W. Burton Post 2777. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed watching the Detroit Red Wings, Tigers, Lions and was an avid Michigan and Michigan State fan. Mrs. Fifield worked for Kmart for many years as a retail clerk. Surviving are: children, Catherine (Jerry) Rhea of TN, Cynthia (Bob) Rogers of Flint, Theresa (Steve) Richardson of Farwell, Robert (Kathryn) Fifield of Burton, Gregory Fifield of Burton; grandchildren, Jared, Brian, Nicholas, Kyle, Curtis, Melissa, Joshua, Aimee, Andrew, Bethany, Jessica, Brianne, Amanda, Wes; sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Alma was also survived by her sisters, Mildred Heath and Alice Szabo both of Burton; brother-Darrol (Cheryl) Roat of Durand; many nieces and nephews.
