Alma Louise Clark

Alma Louise Clark, age 88, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at the Durand Senior Care. A funeral service will take place 2:00 PM, Monday, February 10, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Shriner Burn Unit or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. 

Alma was born on July 20, 1936 in Flint the daughter of the late Amos and Jenny (Wilson) Wilhite. She graduated class of 1954 from Herbert Hoover High School. Alma married Joseph Clark on October 16, 1954 in Flint. Sadly, he preceded her in death on November 25, 2010. She worked as a custodian for 26 years with the Swartz Creek Community School District until her retirement in 1997. Alma was an active member in the Masonic Temple #556; Burton Eagles; Grand Blanc Moose; American Legion Post 292; past member of Hillbilly Outhouse #2 and the 2004 Opossum Queen. She was an avid bowler and reader; she enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting and being the family photographer. Alma was also a member of Flint Senior Olympics and Woman's Friday Senior Bowling. 

She is survived by her; sons Timmy (Patti) of St. Johns, Joseph Jr. (Jane) of Davison, Thomas (Sherry) of Keleva, Andrew (Tracey) of Flushing and Ben of Swartz Creek; 14 Grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Alma was preceded in death by her sons, Michael and Carl; three sisters, Leatha Norris, Carlene Peter and Thelma Hughes; six brothers; Leroy Lee, Homer Jr., Mickey, Ancil, Carl and Kenneth. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
