Allen Williamson

WILLIAMSON, Allen Edward - age 92, of Waterford, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Mark Manzer officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 PM until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Interment & Military Honors will be held 2 PM Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Contributions may be made to Waterford Community Church.

Allen was born on December 30, 1929 in Sproul, Pennsylvania, the son of Paul E. and Ada Estella (Black) Williamson. He was a proud  veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. Allen married Georgia Ruth (Garnett) Brooks in Waterford, MI on May 10, 2003. He was retired from Fisher Body.  Allen will be remembered most for being a very kind, gentle, caring man.

Surviving are: wife, Georgia Williamson; step children, Bruce (Jean) Brooks, Deb (Rick) Bunton, Teresa (Dave) Frizzell, Tracy (Tammy) Brooks; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents,brothers Wilbur and Gerald Williamson, sister Audrey Williamson. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
