DIBLER, Allen Joseph - age 80, of Fenton, went to be with his Lord Monday, January 26, 2009 at his residence. Services will be held 11 AM Friday, January 30, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor Jack McMaster officiating. Interment will follow at Beebe Cemetery in Holly. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday and 11-2 and 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Avalon Hospice. Mr. Dibler was born January 20, 1929 in Ferndale, the son of Jesse S. and Veleta M. (Hile) Dibler. He was a graduate of Royal Oak High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict as a Sergeant. Mr. Dibler married Rosanna Joy Rice on May 27, 1952 in Angola, IN. He retired from General Motors Truck and Bus in Pontiac in 1980 after 30 years of service and worked in Adult Foster Care. Mr. Dibler was a member of the Michigan Foster Parent Association, Fenton Marching Band Boosters, Silver Lake Ski Club and Faith Baptist Church in Linden. Surviving are: wife, Joy Dibler of Fenton; six children, Laurie J. McCann of Fenton, Bonnie (Tim) Showers of Fenton, Julie A. Nolkemper of Linden, Allen J. (Becky) Dibler of Holly, Nellie Marie (Tim) LePard of Flint; Melanie (Todd) Barton of Mt. Morris; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold (Joan) and Gordon (Mary Lou) Dibler. He was preceded in death by: six siblings, Veleta Gasser, Vernita Thompson, Shirley Snyder, Violet Samples, Sally Randolph, Richard Dibler.
