Allen Raymond Barkus

BARKUS, Allen Raymond  Age 65, of Fenton Twp., died Friday, January 14, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Sunday, 2-5 & 7-9 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to American Cancer Society or McLaren Hospice. Allen was born September 7, 1939 in Flint, the son of Charles and Luella (Gonyea) Barkus and was a 1957 graduate of Bendle High School. Mr. Barkus was married to Maxine Yvonne Bachman on September 19, 1959. Allen retired from Perfection Bakery, formerly Shafer Bakery. Surviving are: wife, Maxine; daughters, Debra Pajtas of Byron, Leanne Barkus of Flint; grandchildren, Cody and Chad Pajtas; brother, Donald Barkus of Houghton Lake; several nieces and nephews.
