Alice Clodfelter

CLODFELTER - Alice Louise, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, departed this earth for her eternal life with Christ on March 27, 2008 at the age of 92. Alice was born August 29, 1915 in Bay City, Michigan the daughter of Homer and Selma Florance and married Glen Clodfelter March, 1938 in Flint. Alice is survived by three children: Larry Clodfelter of Burton, Sally Dunn and husband Jim of Idaho and Glenda Burgett of Flint;  seven grandchildren: Scott Burgett and wife Tuya, Susan O'Brien and husband Jim, Jon Dunn and wife Kristin, David Dunn and wife Kerri, Stacy Nakoski and husband William, Julie Glass, Angela Hyde and husband Richard; thirteen great grandchildren: Kevin Burgett; Jim and Trevor O'Brien; Mitchell, Amanda, Grant and Holly Dunn; Shelby and Katelyn Dunn; David and Catherine Glass; Julia and Anna Hyde; her sisters, Flora Edgar and Marietta Florence; several nieces and nephews. Alice was a homemaker who was very family oriented, but extended her caring to neighbors, friends and special loved ones over the years. In earlier years she was active in Redeemer Lutheran Women's Guild; the Girl Scouts of America (Brownie and Girl Scout co-leader), and enjoyed playing cards with her widowed friends and her family. Preceding her in death are her husband of 40 years, Glen; parents Homer and Selma Florance, sisters Margaret McQuillan, Ruth Roska and brother Frank Florance. A memorial service will be held 1PM Saturday April 12, 2008 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 460 West Atherton Road in Flint, Pastor Timothy Speckman officiating.
