Alice Ella Callard

CALLARD, Alice Ella  Age 96, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at Maplewood Manor, Clio. Services will be held 1 PM Friday, August 13, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment will be held at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be from 1-4 and 5-9 PM Thursday and 11 AM until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Callard was born January 2, 1908 in Swartz Creek, the daughter of Avery Emmet and Minnie (Watts) Blair. She married Ward Callard in 1936 in Flint and he preceded her in death in 1958. She loved attending church, listening to music, playing cards and putting together puzzles. Surviving are: daughter, June and husband, Don Buck of Roseville; three sons, Leonard Callard and wife, Barbara of Saginaw, Ernest Callard and wife, Kathy, Marshall Callard and wife, Diane, all of Swartz Creek; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Revina Blair of Durand, Thelma Scott of Lansing; numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; daughter, Laura Louise; two grandchildren; one brother; eight sisters.
