Alice Bedell

BEDELL, Alice Ruth - age 96, formerly of Flint, died Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Argentine Care Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, October 8, 2018 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St., Fenton with Rev. Jeff Jaggers officiating. Interment will be held at Bristol Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 4-7 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 10 AM - 11 AM at the church on Monday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Fenton United Methodist Church. Alice was born April 2, 1922 in Spring Arbor, MI, the daughter of George B. and Bertha E. (Dodds) Kenworthy. She married Vincent Earl Bedell on April 27, 1945 and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2000. Alice was a 1940 graduate of Flint Central High School and had worked at AC Spark Plug during World War II. Alice was a member of the former Bethel Park Free Methodist Church and was a current member of Fenton United Methodist Church. She was a vocalist, song leader and Sunday school teacher for many years. Surviving are: five children, Janet Michelman of Holly, Joyce (Ken) Bedell Smith of Lakeland, FL, Vernon Bedell (Denise Wilcox) of New Hudson, Dr. Wayne (Carol) Bedell of Midland, Neil (Dr. Karen) Bedell of Fenton; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Woodward. Alice was preceded in death by: her husband, her sister, Doris "Jane" Kenworthy; and her brother, George "Bob" Kenworthy. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
