Alger D. 'Dennis' MacAuley

MACAULEY, Alger D., Dennis, Chainsaw, age 65, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at Beaumont Hospital.  Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, November 1, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will be held at Meadowview Memorial Gardens, Davison.  Visitation will be 5-9 PM Saturday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alger D. MacAuley Memorial Fund. Dennis was born May 15, 1939 in Roseville, the son of Alger Paton and Geraldine Winifred (Bullock) MacAuley.  He married Carolyn Howe in Flint on June 7, 1969. He was employed at GM for 30 years and then worked security for Burns/Securitas for 5 years. He was a member of UAW Local 659. Dennis is survived by: wife Carolyn of Swartz Creek; children Deborah Brown of Mt. Pleasant, Robert (Michelle) MacAuley, Richard (Dawn) MacAuley, both of Detroit, David MacAuley, Tamara (Troy) Allport, Alger (Tina) MacAuley, Sarah Bachman, Geri (Dennis) MacAuley, all of Swartz Creek; 27 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; son-in-law Butch Hawley; siblings Faye Reeves of Fairview, Shirley Jarrad of Swartz Creek, Ronald MacAuley of Grand Blanc, Gloria Jeanne Hensley of Flint, Richard MacAuley of Mio, Arlene McConnell of Danvers, IL, Greg MacAuley of Flint, Pat McCracken of Montrose, Brian MacAuley of Mio, Robin Sutliff of Bannister; first wife, Charlsie Koch; many nieces and nephews; many adopted children and grandchildren; special friend Theresa Alexander.
