Alexis Snediker

SNEDIKER, Alexis C.- Age 68, of Flushing, died July 7, 2017. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Monday July 10 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Mark Cox officiating. Burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will take place 12 PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society. Alexis was born in Flint on August 13, 1948, the daughter of the late Alexander and Margaret (Zembo) Edwin. Alexis graduated from Ainsworth High School Class of 1966. She earned her associates degree at Flint Community Junior College. She was a member of Zeta Sigma Chi Sorority. Alexis was employed at Sears credit department for 24 years and had 16 years of service at TK Optical. Alexis will be remembered for her kindness, gentle nature, sincere generosity, and always being ready to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed reading, watching television, shopping excursions with her sister, and spending time with family. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Edwin; sister, Leslie and husband, Victor McKinsey; niece, Elena and husband, Lee Parker; great nieces near and dear, Naome Edwin, Emma and Lily Parker; great nephew, Logan Parker; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Jody Snediker; and sister in law, Vicki Edwin.
