Alexander Ellis

Ellis, Alexander (Lex) - Age 79, of Grand Blanc, originally from Motherwell, Scotland passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 16, 2018 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Burton FOE. 3814. Lex was born in Motherwell, Scotland on September 7, 1938. He married the love of his life, Cecilia Mackin on July 18, 1958, after challenging another suitor to a fist fight. Lex immigrated to the U.S. in 1967 and Cecilia soon followed. Kevin, Lorraine, and Sandra were soon added to their family. He worked for General Motors for 31 years in the tool and die department, a career he truly loved. Lex loved to entertain and sing, and loved his extended family at the Eagles and Moose Club. A proud moment for Lex was when he and Cecilia became U.S. citizens. Lex was a true Scotsman and appreciated the opportunities he was afforded in the United States.
