Alejandro Valencia

VALENCIA, Alejandro Mayorga - Age 92, of Flint, passed away February 1, 2022. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, February 7, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Pastor Al Farber officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service. Entombment will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Alejandro was born August 30, 1929 in Mexico City, Mexico, the son of Alejandro and Petra (Mayorga) Valencia. He married Guadalupe Sauceda on June 12, 1964; she preceded him in death on April 4, 2009. Mr. Valencia owned and operated Cookie's Taco House in Flint for over 40 years. He was loved by anyone that knew or met him. He enjoyed getting the little ones together and doing magic tricks. He is survived by his children, Juanita Spooner-Arreguin, Refugia "Cookie" Whitten, Aurelia Villarreal, Felipe (Melanie) Castanon, Amelia Bays, Guadalupe "Nancy" Dillett, Estaban (Paula) Castanon, Domingo (Tracy) Castanon, Sureena (Manuel) Gurrola; over 90 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and family members in Flint, Texas and Mexico.
