JOHNSON, Aleana Bell (Selves) -- Age 87, of Flint, died November 21, 2015. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday November 24 at Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Dr. Gary Glanville officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, and 9:30 AM until time of service at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, Swartz Creek Senior Center or American Heart Association. Aleana was born March 1, 1928 in Springfield Ohio the daughter of Joseph and Martha (Price) Smith. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1946. She married Robert Merideth Selves September 23, 1950 he preceded her in death on October 5, 1999. She then married Melvin Johnson on November 30, 2008. Aleana was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Surviving are: husband, Melvin Johnson; two sons, Robert J. (Paula) Selves of Flushing, Richard L. (Debbie) Selves of Flint; grandson, Robert D. Selves of Flint; step-children, David (Michele) Johnson, Karen (Ken) Kautz, Sally (Dale) Engel; sisters, Georgeann Davis and Sabra (Jerry) Locher; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Selves; brother Roger Smith; and sisters, Mona Watson, Marjorie Brown, Adeline Severt, and Betty Patton.
