WALLACE, Albert Edgar - Age 91, of Flint, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the Landings of Genesee Valley. A funeral ceremony will take place 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pete Fusi will preside with burial following in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery with Army Military Honors present. Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday and again from 10:00 AM until the time of service Thursday. In Lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Michigan Elks Association Major Project Commission, serving special needs children in Michigan.
Albert was born on December 29, 1932 in Davison the son of the late Charles and Seretta (Pratt) Wallace. He graduated from Bentley High School, class of 1951. Albert and Shirley Fusi were united in marriage on April 24, 1954 in Flint. They built a loving life and family together for 70 years. He worked for E & L Construction for many years as a brick mason and superintendent before his retirement. Albert was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craft Workers local #2 and former Italian Club in Flint. He enjoyed spending time with his family and certainly his grandchildren. Albert could be found in his free time hunting, fishing, gardening and golfing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; 4 children, Michael (Beverly) Wallace, Sheryl (Larry) Perkins, Tony (Donna) Wallace and Michele (Dave) Brand; 7 grandchildren, Jeremy (Rachel) Perkins, Stephanie Wallace, Ashley (Josh) Skinner, Scott (Cassandra) Wallace, Breanna Perkins, Tony (Brianna) Brand, and Eric Brand; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
