June 13, 1928 — February 7, 2008

LAZAR, Albert David- Age 79, of Flint, died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at his residence.  Funeral Services will be held 3:30 PM Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Tom Knight officiating.  Burial will take place in Pines Plains Cemetery, Big Rapids.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1-4 and 6-9PM Saturday. Visitation will also be held 9AM until time of service on Sunday.  Those desiring may make contributions to Avalon Hospice.  Mr. Lazar was born June 13, 1928 in Marseille, France, the son of Darius D. and Rebecca B. (Abraham) Lazar. He had resided in Flint since 1967.  He retired from the U.S. Air Force where he served during WWII and the Korean War.  He than work for and retired from GM Chevrolet Metal Fab.  He was a member of the Morning Star Lodge #556 F.& A.M and U.A.W. Local 659.  Surviving are:  5 children, John Lazar and wife Hong Zhao, David Anderson and wife Nihcole, Angela Payne and husband Joseph, Jennifer Jones and husband Michael, Matthew Lazar, Sr. all of Flint; 9 grandchildren, Hailey, Mikey, Tracy, Liberty, Matthew Jr., Bailey, Noah, Kaylee, Zhi Zhong Liu; 3 brothers, Rev. Robert D. Lazar and wife Ruth of Harrison, Sam Lazar and wife Terri of Houston, TX, S. David Lazar and wife Margaret of Owosso; several nieces and nephews; the mother's of his children, Suzanne Lazar of Flint, Carlene Anderson of Goshen, KY.  He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Mary Lazar and Martha Lazar; 3 brothers, Joseph, John and Rubert Lazar.
