Albert Eitel

EITEL, Albert Leroy - Age 92, of Flint Township, died March 3, 2019. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday March 8 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Interment in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 11AM until time of service Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Pilgrim Lutheran Church or Burton Senior Center. Albert was born December 25, 1926 in Scotsbluff, NE, the son of Phillip and Elizabeth (Triplehorn) Eitel and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII. He married Helen Denton on April 2, 1948 in Flint. Mr. Eitel had worked for General Motors and he owned G & H Grocery retiring in 1996. He was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Lions Club and was a past member of VFW Post #5666. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Helen Eitel of Flint; children, Ronald (Audrey) Eitel of Corunna, Robin Serra of Waterford, Mary (Chris) Roedel of Corunna, Lee (Wayne) Goulet of Flint, Suzanne (Brad) Jacobs of Flint, Amy (Abe) DeVries of Middleville; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Phillip and John; sisters, Pauline Lang, Marie Niswonger and Martha Gonyea. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
