Albert Smith

SMITH, Albert Edward - age 92, died May 29, 2021. He was born March 26, 1929 in Highland Park, MI to Albert Joseph Smith and Gladys Ida Riggs. Al resided in Linden and Fenton for the past ten years. Al served in the Korean War as a MP in the U.S. Army. Al went on to become a Detective Lieutenant in the Detroit Police Department from July 1954 to August 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Simpson, and his wife of 57 years, Margaret Ann. He is survived by: his brother, Richard (Mary Ann) Smith of Osprey, FL; daughter, Valerie (John) Bradley of Linden; granddaughter, Julie D'Epifanio (Jason Teddy) of Fenton; great-granddaughter, Angelina J. D'Epifanio of Fenton. There will be no services held in Fenton. Mr. Smith will be laid to rest next to his wife in Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park East in Macomb, MI.
