Alan Ray MASON

MASON, Alan Ray - Age 51, of Tyrone Twp./Fenton, died Monday, January 17, 2011 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Tyrone Community Presbyterian Church, 9141 Hartland Rd., Fenton. Pastor Linda Living-Hawley will officiate. Burial will follow in Tyrone Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Saturday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with a Masonic Memorial Service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the family. Alan was born June 19, 1959 in Flint, the son of Frank and Dianne (Weist) Mason. He retired from General Motors where he worked in Skilled Trades as a Metal Model Maker and was a member of UAW Local #598. Mr. Mason was a member of Masonic Lodge #161 and the Holly Moose Lodge. Surviving are: children, Garrett Mason, Kara Mason and Ariana Mason; mother, Dianne Townsend; brothers, Frank Mason, Larry and wife Jo Mason; several nieces and nephews.
