INMAN, Alan W. -- Age 90, passed away on Sunday October 31, 2021, surrounded by his family. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated 10 AM Wednesday, November 3 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. 3139 Hogarth Ave., Flint. Fr. Anthony Strouse celebrant. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday where a scripture service will be held at 6 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will also be 9 AM Wednesday until time of Mass at the church. Alan was born August 29, 1931 to Wayne and Helen (Story) Inman. He married Lois H. Menne on December 29, 1951 and was the father of six children, Alan S., Kathleen Bailey, Jacklyn, Linda (Jason) El-Zein, John and Thomas. After serving in the Korean War, Alan worked for General Motors for over forty years, retiring in 1991. An avid reader, he delivered newspapers as a teenager, using the tips he earned to buy books. Alan was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Later in life, Alan became very interested in financial matters, keeping track of several stocks as a personal hobby. Alan was preceded in death by his daughter Jacklyn. In addition to his wife and remaining children, he leaves to cherish his memory; 5 grandchildren, Kyle Bailey, Rebecca (Kevin) White, Andrew Bailey, Nadia (El-Zein) Tonova, Michael El-Zein; 11 great grandchildren, Domyneque Bailey, Karlynn McKenzie, Caleb Bailey, Kyler Bailey, Morgan Sheldon, Hannah Bailey, Zane Tonova, Lila Tonova, Vera Tonova, Sibylle Bailey, Lillana El-Zein; great great grandchild, Lexie Flood, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.
