Agnes M. Maier

MAIER, Agnes M. age 96, of Flint, died July 11, 2005 at Riverbend Post Acute Continuing Care in Grand Blanc. Funeral mass will be celebrated 12 PM Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at St Pius X Catholic Church, 3139 Hogarth St. Flint, with family receiving friends at 10:30AM. Monsignor Richard Groshek celebrant. Interment will be in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Tuesday 1-3 and 5-9PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek, where a scripture service will be held at 6PM. Agnes was born July 3, 1909 in Caseville, MI the daughter of John and Agnes (Burnham) McGeathy. She married Frank S. Maier in October 1932, in Flint, where they lived and raised their family together until retirement. In 1978, Agnes and Frank began spending the winters in Briney Breezes, FL. Agnes was a member of St Pius X Catholic Church and a loving, devoted wife and mother. Surviving are her husband of 73 years, Frank; 4 children, Carol Ann and husband Al Evans of Swartz Creek, Sondra and husband Jack Bigelow of Swartz Creek, Beverly Ashford of Linden, Ronald and wife Cheryl Maier of Linden; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
