Agnes Smith Hartson

February 14, 1914 — September 27, 2004

HARTSON, Agnes Smith  Age 90, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, September 27, 2004 at Brians House Hospice, Davison. Services will be held 11 AM Friday, October 1, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Dr. John L. Musgrave officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be from 4-9 PM Wednesday and 11-2 and 4-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to First Presbyterian Church of Flint. Ms. Hartson was born February 14, 1914 in Kilmarnock, Scotland, the daughter of James and Annie (Gillies) Robertson. Ms. Hartson was a 1933 graduate of Flint Central High School and had resided in Swartz Creek since, 1975. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Flint where she was very active as a volunteer, Rebekah Womens Circle at First Presbyterian, Flint Travel Club and the Swartz Creek Eastern Stars #430. Surviving are: three sons, Rex James Hartson, David Hartson, both of Swartz Creek, James Robert Hartson of Flint; seven daughters, Janet and husband, Stephen Lamb of Swartz Creek, Barbara and husband, Bob Clontz of Clio, Evelyn and husband, Thomas Thompson of Byron, Marie Batche of Florida, Jeanne and husband, Robert Daunt of Flint, Annie and husband, Patrick St. Pierre of Florida; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; very special friend, Fern Glenn; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents, daughter, Virginia Stocker in 1994. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Brians House, Dr. Imad Tahboub and his staff.
