McKONE, Afton Charlotte - age 82, of Swartz Creek died Sunday, November 8, 2015. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, November 12 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the family. Afton was born September 9, 1933 in Petoskey, the daughter of George and Marion (Redfield) Barber. She married Herbert Raymond McKone on January 12, 1952 in Angola IN. She retired from GM. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Herbert; four children, Jacki Smallwood, Danny (Theresa) McKone, Tim (Barb) McKone, Vicki (Randy) Limbaugh; grandchildren, Tracy, Shannon, Sabrina, Jessica, Danielle, Nicole, Nathan, Samantha, Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Skylar, Mackenzie, Ashton, Merrick, Alexis, Joslyn, Kayla, Evan; siblings, Alma Mattson, Nelson Barber, Sam Ocenasek, Ida Reed.
