WILDFANG, Adolf Otto " Scott" -- Age 84, of Grand Blanc, died June 11, 2017. Funeral services will be held 7 PM Thursday June 15 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Committal services 2 PM Thursday, June 22 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to the National Park System. Scott was born July 27, 1932 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Adolf and Else (Hensel) Wildfang. He married Mary Anne Zastrow in Clinton, Iowa on October 24, 1959. He attended public schools in Clinton Iowa graduating in 1950. He attended Clinton Community College earning a A.A. Degree, he also attended Iowa State Teacher's College (now Northern Iowa University) in Cedar Falls, Iowa, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biological Science. He served 2 years in the U.S Army, stationed for nearly 1 year with security forces at Keflavik AFB in Iceland. He taught primary science courses in Miles, Iowa from 1957-1958, Milledgeville, IL from 1958-1959 and Swartz Creek MI from 1959-1986. Scott enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, flower gardening, RV camping, and traveling to most of the U.S. States to "see the sights" and watching University of Iowa football and basketball games on TV. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Anne; 3 children, Diana (Steve) Halstead, Eric Wildfang, Lorinda Wildfang; 2 grandchildren, Nicolas and Wyatt Halstead; sister, Margaret A.
