Adelbert Freel

FREEL , Adelbert "Bud" - Age 94, of Swartz Creek, died December 17, 2015. Funeral services will be held 2PM Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church 7400 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment to follow in Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM Sunday and 1PM until time of service Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Mr. Freel was born January 23, 1921 in National City, MI, the son of the late August and Jennie (Trafzer) Freel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in WWII. He married Eva Leslie Crandall on April 22, 1944 in Flint. He retired from G.M. Metal Fab in 1977 with 30 years of service and was a member of UAW Local 659. He was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Bud enjoyed yardwork, gardening and was a family man. Surviving are: wife of 71 years Eva; children, Leslie (Paul) Cupal of Corunna, MI, David (Misty) Freel of Flint, Patricia (David) Scheitler of Durand, Roberta (Robert) Coverdill of Deford, MI, Thomas (Kimberly) Freel of Swartz Creek, Penny (Mark) Adams of Swartz Creek; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
