McINTOSH, Adam Ryan 'Opie' - Age 25, of Burton, died Sunday June 11, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Thursday, June 15, 2006 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. (just south of Hill Rd.), Flint with Rev. Harold K. Polk officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-9PM Tuesday, 1-4 and 6-9PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Adam was born July 17, 1980 the son of Daniel and Deborah (Turnage) McIntosh. Adam graduated from Grand Blanc and Bentley High Schools, Mott Community College and grew into a fine, loving young man whose life was tragically ended by a coward's bullets. He worked as a Master Mechanic at Bostick GMC Truck in Pontiac. Adam was an avid lover of race cars, loved to build race cars and race his own car. Since he was 16 years old he had taken care of the same fine Camero. He worked on many of his friends cars and was also involved in building a racing boat. He loved water sports and was an avid snowmobiler. Adam was his daddy's best buddy and loved to call his mom and say, 'what's cookin', he then would go over to his parents home and eat every bit of the food his mom served him. He loved to tease, always making his friends laugh with a 'one liner' or a great prank, never ceasing to put a smile on everyone's face. Adam 'Opie' was taken from us too young and was loved by many including all of his 'cruisin friends'. A George Bernard Shaw quote best describes 'our' Adam: 'Life is no brief candle to me, it is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.' Adam, your torch is bright, and we know the Angels are singing. We love you so much. You will be so sadly missed by mom and dad, Daniel and Debbie McIntosh; brother, Daniel McIntosh II and wife Carrie; sister, Patty McIntosh and niece, Breanna McIntosh; grandparents, Patricia Reedy and Owen Dean McIntosh; Adam's love and fiancee, April Brozik; several aunts, uncles cousins and all of Adam's many, many friends. He was preceded in death by, grandpa Frank and grandma Fronie Turnage. A very special thank you to all Adam's racing family and our family and friends for your comfort and support at our time of need. Adam you will always be happily and joyfully remembered by all who had the privilege to know you. Those desiring may share online condolences or post a tribute at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
